Debit Card

Tired of writing checks? Use your Citizens First Bank Debit Card any place that accepts Debit MasterCard®. The amount is deducted directly from your checking account. In addition, it can be used at ATMs to check account information, make withdrawals or deposits, or transfer funds between your accounts.

 

Unlimited free transactions at CFB ATMs. Five free transactions at non-CFB ATMs, however when using an ATM not owned by CFB, you may be charged a fee by the ATM operator or network. A fee may be charged for a balance inquiry even if you do not complete a transfer.

Debit Card Falcon® Fraud Protection
Citizens First Bank values the trust you have placed with us and include the Falcon service to protect your debit card from fraud. Call 866-508-2693 to report unauthorized debit card activity.

 

 
If Falcon detects suspicious activity on your debit card, you will be contacted by a Shazam representative calling on our behalf to verify the transaction in question. It is very important that your current contact information is on hand at Citizens First Bank to ensure that you can be reached promptly if fraudulent activity is suspected.

 

 

The phone call will come from a live person, never a recording. The caller will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, debit card number, PIN, etc. Always use caution when providing your personal and debit card information and contact us immediately if you suspect your debit card has been stolen or compromised.

 

 

 

Many of the fraudulent transactions are done over the internet or internationally. If you will be traveling in the United States or abroad, please contact Citizens First Bank and let us know the dates and locations. This will help in recognizing which transactions may be legitimate versus fraudulent.

Free Image Checks

Your monthly bank statement will record all your deposits and withdrawals. Images of all your cancelled checks are included with Choice and Gold Checking accounts. Smart e and Free Checking accounts have the option to receive images for a monthly fee. Citizens First Bank will provide you with a binder to keep your statements handy and organized. If you desire less paperwork, you may decline to receive check images. Citizens First Bank will keep computerized copies of checks for you. If you ever have a question or need a copy for proof of payment, simply call the bank. We will be glad to provide a copy for you.

 

 


 

ATM Card

Your Citizens ATM Card provides access to your account 24 hours a day at ATMs to check account information, make withdrawals or deposits, or transfer funds between your accounts. Citizens First Bank is also a participating Shazam® Privileged Status financial institution, which allows our customers to use ATMs of other participating Privileged Status financial institutions without paying surcharge fees. Convenient Visa® Gift Cards

A Convenient Visa® Gift Card is more flexible than a gift certificate and safer than cash. It's the perfect gift that is great to get and so easy to use!

 

  • The gift card is a prepaid card that looks like a Visa® card but has a set dollar amount limited to the amount of money placed on the gift card by the purchaser. The gift card will be activated at the time of purchase.
  • You can register your gift card to enable you to use your card to make purchases over the telephone and on the internet. Registering will also allow you to request a replacement card should yours become lost or stolen. Register your card at www.convenientcards.com or by calling 1-800-486-0292.
  • The gift cards can be purchased at any of our convenient Citizens First Bank locations.
  • Cards may be purchased for amounts between $10 and $500 and there is a $3 charge to purchase each gift card.

OOPS! (Occasional Overdraft Privilege Service) A discretionary service

In the event of non-sufficient funds in your account we will consider, without obligation on our part, payment of your reasonable overdrafts on checks, automatic bill payments and other transactions made using your account number; up to your assigned Overdraft Privilege Limit. You can authorize us to pay your everyday debit card transactions and ATM withdrawals by reviewing, printing, and either returning the completed "Overdraft Services Disclosure and Consent Form" to one of our branches or mailing the completed form to Citizens First Bank, 1442 Lincoln Way, Clinton, IA 52732. If you would like to know more concerning the Occasional Overdraft Privilege Service please contact a Customer Service Representative at 563-243-6000 or 1-877-902-1442.

Bank-by-Mail

For added convenience, Citizens First Bank’s Bank-by-Mail service allows you to make deposits to your account without having to go to the bank.

 

 


Direct Deposit

With direct deposit, you can have most forms of regularly scheduled income payments automatically transferred, upon your authorization, to any of your Citizens First Bank checking or savings accounts. This is ideal for payroll checks, interest payments, Social Security and other government payments.

 

 


Safe Deposit Boxes

Citizens First Bank offers a variety of safe deposit boxes for your valuables and important documents. Contents of safe deposit boxes are not insured by the FDIC.

 

 


Money Orders and Cashier's Checks

When you need to send your money or when cash is not accepted for a large purchase, a personal money order or Citizens First Bank cashier's check is the safe, convenient substitute. Fees may apply.

 

 


Wire Transfers

Whenever it becomes necessary to directly transfer funds from your Citizens First Bank account to a domestic and/or foreign bank, we can assist you with wire transfers.
